Risk factors associated with the development of Hepatobiliary cancers include but are not limited to:
- Hepatitis B or C virus infection
- Excessive alcohol intake
- Fatty liver or steatohepatitis
- Cirrhosis from any cause
- Iron overload
- Certain auto-immune diseases such as primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC)
Symptoms Include:
- Jaundice – yellowing of the skin and eyes
- Abdominal pain
- Poor appetite
- Weight loss
- Itching
- Pale stools
- Dark urine
- Fever
